McNeese State Junior Pitcher to Go Pro and Sign With Pirates
Cowboy Junior pitcher Michael Clemens went 4-4 last season with 54 strike outs in 79 and a third innings. This caught the attention of professional baseball scouts. It would now seem the right handed pitcher is going to begin his professional career.
According to the Lake Charles American Press the Pirates made him an offer he could not refuse. The money was good and it will have him starting his professional mcarrer near Tampa, Florida where his parents are moving. The Pirates hold Spring Training in nearby Bradenton. Clemens is the 47th Poke to be drafted and the first since 2011.
