We watch them over and over every year. We know almost every line of dialogue, and yet, we go back to these old favorites year after year and they never fail to enhance the feeling of the season.

Of course I talking about Christmas movies. What a big part of the season they are, right? Just as hearing our favorite Christmas song triggers some great feelings abut the season, movies give us a visualization of the feelings we seek this time of year. Just like music, these movies also connect us to the Ghost of Christmas past and conjure up some great memories.

Well, the St. Leo University Polling Institute did a very extensive poll about a myriad of subjects and part of that poll was a survey asking people to name their favorite Christmas movie.

Here's what people told them about their favorite Christmas movies

1. Miracle on 34th Street

2. It’s a Wonderful Life

3. A Charlie Brown Christmas
4. A Christmas Story
5 .A Christmas Carol
6. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
7. How the Grinch Stole Christmas
8. Home Alone
9. Frosty the Snowman
10.Elf
If you feel like wading through the entire report, you'll find it here, just understand that it covers all kinds of subjects and it's a very extensive study. Not exactly light reading. Still you can read the entire REPORT. The part of the report dealing with Christmas movies is on page 36.
