Kudos to the CPSO for quick work in apprehending a suspect in an armed robbery that just took place on Saturday.

Here's the official release from the CPSO

On January 20 investigators with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Aaron Blake Gumm, 29, 2504 Stingray Drive in Lake Charles, for first degree robbery. Following the release of surveillance footage of the robbery on local media outlets, investigators received a Crimestoppers tip indicating Gumm may have involvement in the robbery which occurred on January 17 at the Conoco convenience store at 6720 Nelson Road. Further investigation led detectives to 2504 Stingray Drive where contact was made with Gumm.  Upon questioning Gumm, he confirmed he committed the robbery but said he did so with a BB gun, not a firearm.  Detectives recovered the BB gun as well as miscellaneous items used or taken during the robbery.

Gumm was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center.  Judge Michael Canaday set his bond at $75,000.

CPSO Detective Mark Clark is the lead investigator on this case.
