
Mardi Gras Gumbo Cook-Off Is Saturday!
Bring your appetite to the Lake Charles Civic Center on Saturday, February 25! The World Famous Cajun Extravaganza and Gumbo Cook-Off will be in full swing to help celebrate Mardi Gras.
Amateurs and professionals alike will compete for bragging rights, visitors get to eat all they want for just $5 for as long as the gumbo lasts. Children under the age of 5 get in free. Whether it's chicken and sausage, seafood, or wild game, every bite is sure to be delicious.
Teams will start cooking at 7:30, and the tasting begins right after the judging at 11:30. Of course, there will be great music.
