Is canola oil bad for you? The Mayo Clinic says it's safe. I don't cook with it. Health issues have made me a lot more cognizant of what I put in my body.

Coconut oil comes from coconut trees, olive oil from olives, and pecan oil from pecan trees. What's a canola? No such vegetable, fruit, or nut occurs in nature. Canola oil comes from a genetically modified version of the toxic rapeseed. It was created in a laboratory.

Canola oil contains sulphur, making it spoil easily. You can't tell if it's gone bad by the taste. Canola oil contains trans fat. It attacks the heart muscle. I've had a heart attack. Canola oil may not be toxic, but there are healthier alternatives. When I cook, I use olive or pecan oil.
