Intel: New AZ Plant
After a meeting today with President Trump, Intel CEO Brian Krzanich announced that Intel will build a new plant in Chandler, Arizona that will employ as many as 3,000 people. To accomplish this Intel intends to spend upwards of $7 Billion dollars. Billion is capitalized because that's a lot of money.
Support and ancillary needs for the new plant will also require another 10,000 jobs be created. The CEO said on CNBC that part of the project will complete the Fab 42 plant that was started a few years back and then abandoned.
The computer chips, 7 nanometer type produced by the new plant will be the most powerful on the planet according to the Intel boss.
As well the White House said that VP Pence would be speaking to Tesla and Space X representatives on Wednesday.
