South Louisiana Officials Asking For Volunteers For Upcoming Beach Clean-up
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - Cameron officials have put out a call for SWLA residents to volunteer for a beach clean-up this weekend.
Over the past few years, the Cameron coast has been hit by several storms, but it has remained resilient. The remaining residents are a big factor in that.

District One Cameron Beachfront Development Chairman told KPLC that the clean-up effort in District One will be from Mays Beach to Holly Beach, and District 2 will be from Rutherford Beach to Broussard Beach.
She went on to say that they've been doing this for more than 35 years, and that volunteers from the community, businesses, and the parish work together to maintain the cleanliness of our beaches.
