Folks in Southwest Louisiana were already very happy with the proposed $11 billion facility on the Calcasieu Ship Channel in Cameron, but now, the already good news just gets better. The project is growing already and is predicted to bring 6,000 construction jobs and another 700 permanent jobs to the area.

Remote Monitoring and Management's CEO, Thomas Hudson says that additional plans will now bring the project closer to $23 billion. The project is Louisiana's largest infrastructure project. The reason for the nearly doubled budget is that the project will now also include a petrochemical facility.

The original plans called for a 14-tonne LNG facility on 766 acres near Cameron. Now, they are hopeful that the U.S. and China to reach an agreement regarding market access. When that agreement has been reached, the company will begin exporting globally.

More great news for our booming economy!
