All Models Are Locked In; Gulf Disturbance Likely Landfall In Louisiana Later This Week
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - The majority of models are showing that the disturbance currently crossing over Florida, will more than likely make landfall in Louisiana later this week.
Yesterday we reported that experts are saying this disturbance will turn into a tropical storm or a hurricane once it gets into the Gulf waters.

That forecasted hasn't changed, however, the projected path of the storm has. Yesterday, it seemed it would take a hurricane to force the storm westward to Louisiana, but now the majority of models are showing a Louisiana landfall.
The National Hurricane Center (NHC) has upgraded to probably of formation for this disturbance to 40%.
Gulf weather expert Meteorologist Zack Fradella showed the newest storm model run on his social media.
He still thinks that this storm will become a Tropical Storm at best and that the biggest threat from this system will be the rain it brings from the Gulf.

Meteorologist Scot Pilie' posted some more in-depth graphics about the rain threat that Louisiana will see and a better look at a time window when we can expect weather to worsen.
He also echoed Fradella's prediction of potential storm strength saying that this storm is not well formed and he believes will not have enough time and Gulf real estate to strengthen to a hurricane.
