It would seem that (once again) Southwest Louisiana has dodged the tropical bullet. This must come as a shock to those irresponsible web weather prognosticators that earlier this week were predicting a Labor Day weekend hurricane here.

Earlier this week I saw several facebook post warning the Gulf coast about a hurricane next weekend. Tropical Depression 4 must have them depressed. Maybe next time they won't try to predict so far in the future (yeah right). It looks like this system will not make landfall at all before dying a slow death in the North Atlantic

The NOAA predicted path and strength show Tropical Depression 4 becoming a hurricane within the next 4-5 days but performing a right hook off of the United States eastern seaboard and the heading further east in the North Atlantic. This will probably be our last update on this system.

As far as those so called web tropical weather experts that we had never heard of before and that tried to throw the Gulf coast into a premature panic ... I noticed that their page has been temporarily disabled. Imagine that.
