Thoughts While Drifting Off on a Tryptophan Induced Nap
Last week, I had a story about the myth of the "Tryptophan Nap" and it turns out that the whole thing is a myth. Still, after consuming my thanksgiving feast with my daughter and her family, I found myself drifting off to dreamland during a football game.
You know how when you start drifting away like that, random thoughts start running through your mind. Sometimes they make sense and sometimes you can't where that sleepy logic comes from.
Well, here are a few thoughts I had while Tripping on Tryptophan:
If we didn't have eyes, we wouldn't understand the concept of color. What if I'm missing out on something else because I don't have that organ?
Those piracy warnings at the beginning of a DVD are only seen by people who actually paid for the movie.
Going to prison for attempted murder is going to prison for failure.
5 out of 6 people enjoy Russian Roulette
I'm illiterate in every language except English
I'm a slow reader, but I can watch a movie as fast as anyone
And last but not least:
The fact that there's a highway to hell and only a stairway to heaven says a lot about anticipated traffic numbers
