If you reside in SWLA, access to cable TV is nonexistent and internet or WiFi access is near impossible to achieve. Hurricane Laura did a job to the electric and communications capabilities in Lake Charles and most of the surrounding areas.

Suddenlink customers are at their wits end, as they've been cut-off from the rest of the world for a month now. In the wake of Laura, Suddenlink CEO Dexter Goel announced nearly 2,000 workers are on the ground and, in the coming weeks, will be working tirelessly to restore service to their more than 43,000 customers. However, Goel warned the road back to full restoration to the area will take a while. He told KPLC 100% capacity won't be achieved until mid-November.

In the meantime, the cable/communications company is offering SWLA customers affected by Hurricane Laura a credit on their bills and free hotspots at Suddenlink locations in the following cities:

Alexandria, DeRidder, Lake Charles, Leesville, Natchitoches, Pineville, Ruston and Winnfield
