South Louisiana Roads Even More Dangerous Today
LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA: Louisiana state and local officials are saying that the roads are even more dangerous today as a result of yesterday's historic snowfall. We have all the details.
Governor Landry is urging Louisiana residents to continue to stay off the roads as conditions are worse today than yesterday.

The snow that melted yesterday on Louisiana roads across the state are now sheets of ice. Because of this, the LADOTD announced this morning that they have closed down I-10 from the Texas/Louisiana border all the way to Baton Rouge:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that due to deteriorating road conditions as a result of Winter Storm Enzo, Interstate 10 in the east and westbound direction is now closed to motorists, from the Louisiana/Texas state line to Baton Rouge, effective immediately. Motorists are encouraged to avoid traveling on roadways unless absolutely necessary. DOTD crews will continue to monitor state bridges and roadways.
KPLC is reporting that we could see these icy road conditions until around Friday. The temps the next few days will continue to dip under freezing during the night and early morning allowing melted snow to return to ice.
We have also heard reports from listeners that they have seen multiple vehicles that have lost control on overpasses and roads this morning.
The LADOTD is asking Louisiana residents to continue to stay home and off the roadways. When people who get out and drive get into an accident, it puts first responders at risk too.
