Report From The CPSO DWI Checkpoint In Sulphur Last Friday
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's office executed a DWI Checkpoint last Friday June 29th.
The checkpoint was on Swisco Road in Sulphur with the intent to find individuals operating vechicles under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.
CPSO Deputies checked 267 vehicles and 12 field sobriety tests were administered on the scene.
Here are the results from the DWI Checkpoint:
The following individuals were booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center:
- Timothy D. Perkins, 38, Lake Charles, was arrested for possession of CDS II; possession of CDS I; possession of drug paraphernalia; resisting an officer; and failure to ID
- Jeremiah M. Spell, 32, Sulphur, was arrested for possession of CDS II; possession of CDS I; and possession of drug paraphernalia
- Gloria A. Guidry, 45, Sulphur, was arrested for possession of CDS II; and possession of drug paraphernalia
The following individuals were issued a signed summons and released:
- Larry A. Jackson, 48, Sulphur, was arrested for DWI
- Lauren P. Myers, 22, DeRidder, was arrested for possession of marijuana
- Chance D. Cooper, 22, Sulphur, was arrested for possession of marijuana
- Tiffany B. Bumgarden, 37, Sulphur, was arrested for possession of marijuana
