Shark Week on the Discovery Channel has become a huge deal over the last ten years, and they're always looking on ways to up the ante.

Remember the debacle from 2017 when they promoted that Michael Phelps was going to race a real great white shark?

I remember the buzz coming into this episode. The build up was epic in nature, and they had everybody believing Mike was going to be side-by-side with an actual shark and swimming a race. I look back on this today and just laugh. How gullible could I and millions of other Shark Week fan have been? We fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

It ended up being a computer generated shark who actually looks like it nabs a poor seal at the end of the race.  *Face Palm*.

Well, enter in their promotion for 2020 with Mike Tyson. It's being billed as a fight between the former heavyweight boxing champ of the world and a shark.

I love how at the end Mike says, "...and somebody's gonna get bit." That made me laugh out loud. Obviously, a shark will bite you and Tyson has also shown a hunger for flesh.

I don't know exactly what's going to happen in this episode, but I can almost be sure that Iron Mike and the shark aren't going to be throwing hands. Or fins, as it were.

But you have to admit Discovery is pretty good at marketing this stuff so you can't help but tune in, just to find out how they're going to disappoint you.
