Cow Island native Dustin Dale Gaspard's audition episode aired yesterday on the new season of The Voice.

Gaspard's Intro on his Facebook page says:

Bilingual- Blues, Roots, Folk songwriter touring all across North America performing as a Bayou Bard. Guitar, banjo, tamborine, harmonica one man band with reverance for old soul classics, swamp pop music and his Cajun heritage

And that's exactly what he did, once he started singing in Cajun French the judges knew they had to turn their chairs and get Dustin on their team.

All the judges were pulling out all the stops to get Dustin on their team. Reba said that she's from SE Oklahoma and tried to make a regional tie to him, Niall said that his voice and the way he incorporated French was amazing, Michael started a conversation with him in French to try and get him on Team Bublé, and Snoop said that he has family in Mississippi and Louisiana with some of his uncles that wrestle gators and snakes too.

Gaspard picked to join former One Direction member Niall Horan's team after saying his initial reaction to his performance and the fact they he has some brothers that live in Ireland played a big part in his decision.

He performed "Bring It on Home to Me" by Mississippi legend Sam Cooke with a twist, Dustin sang one verse in Cajun French.
