McNeese Picked 4th

The Southland Conference head coaches poll is in and the local nine yardmen are picked to finish fourth this season, behind my alma mater Sam Houston, Southeastern Louisiana and Sabine River rival Lamar.  At number five is Central Arkansas.

Sam Houston the early season favorites are the defending SLC champions - however the Cowboys after three consecutive 30 win seasons expect to make a lot of noise in the league this year.

Fourth year head coach Justin Hill starts the season with 21 letter-men that logged five wins over top-25 teams last season.  The Cowboys first game is February 17 hosting Stony Brook as part of the three-day four-team tournament.
