Mandatory Evacuation Ordered for Parts of Vermilion Parish

The Vermilion Parish Police Jury has issued an immediate evacuation for parts of Vermilion Parish.

Due Hurricane Delta's potential for massive tidal flooding and wind damage, a mandatory evacuation has been ordered for the following areas of Vermilion Parish listed below.

From KATC -

Evacuation for these areas are Mandatory:

• Pecan Island;

• Intracoastal City;

• Esther;

• Forked Island;

• Mouton Cove;

Along with the following areas South of LA Hwy 14:

• Erath;

• Delcambre;

• Gueydan; and

• Any low lying areas prone to flooding and trailers
