The U.S. Small Business Association announced they have opened up virtual recovery centers to help guide SWLA residents affected by Hurricane Delta through the loan application process.

Since President Trump declared SWLA a major disaster following the storm, SBA loans are now available at incredibly low interest rates for local businesses and residents.

Below are the parishes that the disaster declaration covers:

  • Acadia
  • Calcasieu
  • Cameron
  • Jefferson Davis
  • Vermilion

U.S. Small Business Administration’s Administrator Jovita Carranza said in a press release:

SBA is strongly committed to providing Louisiana with the most effective and customer-focused response possible and with access to federal disaster loans to help businesses and residents affected by this disaster...getting our businesses and communities up and running after a disaster is our highest priority at SBA.

The Virtual Business Recovery Center and Virtual Disaster Loan Outreach Center are open 8:00am to 8:00pm, Monday through Sunday.

The call centers will help walk people through the application process step-by-step and answer any questions. Business owners, home owners, and renters can apply for the SBA loan program.

There are two ways to contact the centers, you can email them at EDTFOCWAssistance@sba.gov or you can call 800-659-2955.
