We've done all the (chicken) leg work for you and found out where you can score a Popeyes Cajun turkey for Thanksgiving.

We've called all the Popeyes restaurants from the Lake Area, Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Beaumont, and Houston.

I talked with a worker at the restaurant listed below, and she told me that you don't need to pre-order the turkey. You just go the Popeyes and buy it while supplies last. So, with that being said, you may want to get yours sooner rather than later.

The turkeys cost $49.99 and weigh anywhere from 13 to 16 pounds when cooked. Here's a rule of thumb: if you're having guests over to eat, make sure you buy at least one pound per guest.

The closest Popeyes restaurant we found carrying the Thanksgiving turkey is a location in Houston.

Here's the info:

  • Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen
  • 2420 Scott Street, Houston, TX
  • (713) 655-0660

If you snag one, it's already pre-cooked. To prepare the turkey, preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit and cook in a large roasting pan (with juices) for 2 to 2.5 hours until the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees Fahrenheit.

I've never had one, but word on the internet is that these turkeys taste fantastic, so it may be worth the drive.
