Lake Charles man draws 4th DUI--at 90 mph!
Saturday morning, at 7:13 a.m., a state trooper assigned to Louisiana State Police Troop D clocked a vehicle traveling 93 miles per hour in a 60 mile per hour speed zone on Interstate 210 near Legion Street in Lake Charles.
Troopers determined the driver, 42-year-old Roger L. Paris, of Lake Charles, was impaired.
Paris was arrested for DWI fourth offense, driving with a suspended driver’s license, and speeding 93 MPH in a 60 MPH zone. He was booked into the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center.
In 2011, Troop D troopers arrested over 1,200 people for impaired driving.
Many of those impaired drivers were reported to State Police by concerned motorists. To report impaired drivers, motorists are encouraged to dial *LSP (*577) from their cellular phone or to contact their local law enforcement agency.
