Free “Smores In The Park” Event Later This Month

The City of Lake Charles Partners in Parks and the Junior League of Lake Charles are holding a special free event for the public later this month.

Their "Smores In The Park" event will be held at Drew Park in Lake Charles on Thursday, July 22 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.

Residents and their children who attened will be taught how to harness the power of the sun. They will be instructed on how to make solar powered ovens to bake their smores and other treats.

The Junior League are providing all the supplies needed to build the oven and make the smores.
