CPSO Makes More Arrests for Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile

There have been a string of recent arrests of several local men and women who have been charged with carnal knowledge of a juvenile, and more. Here are the latest.

According to a media release from Kim Myers, detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident on March 22, where they were advised Darryl L. Zeno, 56, of 931 Alice Street, in Sulphur, had sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl on three separate occasions in January.  It was learned that Zeno also gave narcotics to the girl, said Myers.

Zeno was already in custody at the Calcasieu Correctional Center on unrelated charges on April 12, when he was arrested and charged with for contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile; and 3 counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. His bond is set at $450,000.

In a second media release from Kim Myers, detectives with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a report on April 5, that Raymond P. Casteel, 30, of Sulphur, had sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old girl on three separate occasions in January.

The girl told detectives she met Casteel once in person and had been communicating with him on social media before they had sexual intercourse. Casteel confirmed to detectives that he had sexual intercourse with the victim on one occasion.

Casteel was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on April 12, and charged with 3 counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. He was released on a $75,000 bond on April 13.
