America’s Funniest Videos Features 600 Groin Shots

America's Funniest Videos has to be one of the best ideas ever for a TV show. I mean, for one thing, the actual production costs are pretty much nil. The producers of the show don't have to shell out big bucks for guest stars or anything like that and they don't even have to come up with a whole lot of material unless you count the hosts "ad-libs" about the videos.

The show has always reminded me a bit of Candid Camera in that it's "Everyday people caught in the act of being themselves" as Alan Funt used to say. It's hard to find anything funnier than people just being themselves. I mean, who can't identify with people doing stupid things?

I haven't watched AFV in a long time, but one thing I know for sure is that at least once a week, we can guaranteed to see at least one "Groin Shot." I don't care what kind of activity is going on in the home movie, sooner or later, somebody's going to take a shot at the groin.

AFV is now in it's 27th season and to commemorate that occasion, they've just released a compilation of some of the best groin shots over the years. So settle back and enjoy the fact that it's not you taking a Louisville Slugger to the family jewels.
