The Jennings Bulldog football program received some heartbreaking news last week, as it was announced that long-time Head Coach Rusty Phelps will be retiring after this season. This year the Bulldogs are 3-6 overall and 3-2 in the district. Jennings is on a three-gaming winning streak and coming off a huge win last week against Lake Charles College Prep. They'll have to be on their A-game this week as the 7-2 St. Louis Saints come to town. The Saints are 4-1 in district play, with their only district loss coming to the eventual district champions the Iowa Yellow Jackets. The Bulldogs will be playing inspired football for their head coach, so it should be a shoot-out in Jennings this Thursday.
The Lake crew will be located by the home entrance gates of the Wayne Hooper Memorial Stadium in Moss Bluff, so come by and see us. We'll have the greatest hits of all time blaring and tons of giveaways including The Lake t-shirts to give out.
