Meteorologist Zack Fradella reported an hour ago that we would see another shift to the east on the forecasted track of Francine, and the 4PM update from the National Hurricane Center (NHC) agreed.

Zach believes that the strongest winds will be in the surrounding New Orleans area,

Jim Cantore of the Weather Channel will be hunkered down in Morgan City, Louisiana for the storm.  A local bakery made Cantore inspired cupcakes and he actually stopped by their place to get some.

The cupcakes are shrimp boil flavored with vanilla icing.  I would've loved to see his face when he took a bite of his first cupcake, lol.

Where is Hurricane Francine going to land in Louisiana?

Currently, Tropical Storm Francine is traveling at 10 mph NE and has maximum sustained winds of 65 mph. Category one hurricanes have winds of 74-95 mph. We could have a hurricane at the 10pm NHC update once Francine begins to move away from the Texas coast and ventures into the deeper and warmer Gulf waters.

Meteorologist Rob Perillo believes that the GRAF hurricane model has been the most accurate and that there could be even a bigger shift to the east than the NHC is forecasting.
