Update — Jail Escapee Captured in Cameron

Billy James Lacombe may have escaped, but he only got as far as downtown Cameron.

Lacombe was arrested after a deputy spotted him in an alley between two businesses. Lacombe surrendered without icncident.

It's believed that Lacombe was able to escape due partly to human error and partly because of a construction hole in a wall. It's also believed that the escape was planned in advance. The investigation continues while Lacombe, who made a joke about be re-captured, gets three hots and a cot.
