Runaway Trusty Back in the Slammer

Denise Howard was in jail for simple burglary, theft of a vehicle and probation violation and, since her crimes weren't of a violent nature, she was made a trusty. Of course being non violent and being completely honest are two different things.

As part of her trusty duties, Denise was allowed to work out side the jail and was working at Calcasieu Parish Animal Control. It was there that she decided the time was right to beat a hasty retreat and left the job in search of her freedom. That freedom was short lived.

After 5 days on the run, authorities caught up with Denise Thursday night around 7 p.m. at home, of course, in Starks. Now, in addition to the previous charges against her, she faces a charge of simple escape. that makes me wonder if there is a charge for complicated escape. At any rate, welcome back, Denise.
