Tyson Recalls Chicken Strips Due To Fear Of Metal Pieces

Be careful before eating those chicken strips from your freezer.

Tyson Foods is recalling nearly 70,000 pounds of their frozen, ready-to-eat chicken strips because they may contain "pieces of metal." According to the U.S. Agriculture Department, the chicken strip products were produced on November 30, 2018 with a "best if used" date of November 30, 2019 on the package.

The possibly contaminated products also have the establishment number "P-7221" on the back of their packages.

There have only been two reports of metal pieces being found and no one has been injured, but the USDA is concerned that contaminated products could still be in freezers and advise consumers to throw them out or return them to the place of purchase.

This isn't the first time Tyson has gone through a recall like this. Earlier this year Tyson recalled nuggets due to complaints of "soft, blue rubber" being found inside of the product.
