Just talking about football season makes it feel cooler outside, doesn't it?  Even though it's still blazing hot when the football season starts, knowing that the Cowboys are about to take the field is one of the first signs of Fall.

This year, there will be two Cowboy match-ups we can watch on TV!

The Southland Conference Television Network announced its fall schedule Wednesday and will televise 11 live football games, including McNeese State’s Oct. 27  homecoming game against Stephen F. Austin and a week later on Nov. 3 at Nicholls State.

The network, includes CW (KVHP 29.2, Cable 7) in Lake Charles.

The McNeese Cowboys begin the 2012 football season on August 30th on the road in a rare Thursday night game in Muffreesboro Tennessee when the take on Middle Tennessee state.

The Cowboys will have five home games in the upcoming 2012- 2013 season.  The Cowboys will also host games against Northwestern State, Central Arkansas, and Stephen F. Austin.

Then the big one, November 17th against Lamar.
