Texas/Louisiana DOTD Alternate Roadway Routes And Information Hotline Numbers
Texas DOTD issued the following tweets to aid drivers in getting where their trying to go;

The Louisiana DOTD is advising drivers to stay on I-20 when driving through Louisiana. As far as the complete Interstate 10 closure DOTD said they will continue to monitor road conditions. In the meantime for updates and the latest details on real-time traffic and road conditions residents are urged to call
511, Traveler Information System. All you need to do is
say the route or region you're calling to get the newest information. All out-of-state motorists can call

www.511la.org. Below are a few more suggested detour routes for I-10 traffic:
I-10 Westbound
- I-10 to I-49 to I-20 (into Texas) to I-10
I-10 Eastbound
- I-20 (into Louisiana) to I-49 to I-10
In addition motorist are being advised to use LA 82- Through Johnson's Bayou and North to both LA 6 or LA 8.
