If you've driven in the area of I-10 and Lakeshore lately, what you'll encounter right now is a lot of construction and a big muddy mess. All that construction is to provide a new Ryan Street on-ramp, but the nasty weather this winter has put the project way behind  schedule.

As the weather improves a bit,  construction on that project will resume, but the renewed work will cause some traffic changes.

The construction around the Ryan Street exit has been going on now for close to a year and the project was slated to be completed in May, but this bad weather has really slowed down the work. The project is now expected to reach completion by late this summer or early fall it the weather doesn't complicate things again.
As part of the on-going work, there are three lanes along I-10 that have been narrowed down to just two lanes and this, of course, is causing a bit more congestion in that area.
When the Enterprise Blvd. exit closes this Monday, drivers will detour to the Kirkman Street on ramp,  just west of Enterprise.

While the DOTD doesn't plan on additional closures right now, they will be studying the situation and may adjust accordingly.
