SWLA Musician And Band Teacher Nominated For A Grammy
Mickey Smith Jr, a local musician and band teacher at Maplewood Middle School has been nominated as a finalist for a Grammy Award.
The award is called the "Music Educator Award" which is given to educators who make a strong and lasting impact on the field of music education in their communities.
The winner will be flown to L.A. to attend the Grammy Awards ceremony to accept the award.
