Some really sad news to share.

A high school in Louisiana has died after going into cardiac arrest in a classroom.

The student, who attended Jena High School, reportedly died Tuesday at a local hospital after going into cardiac arrest in a classroom.

The Jena Times reports that staff members did perform CPR on the student, but the student later died at a local hospital.

Like so many schools in Louisiana, Jena High is preparing for LEAP testing this week, but students will take the standardized tests next week following this unfortunate incident.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of this student who passed away.

The student who passed away has not yet been identified, but an autopsy will reportedly be performed on the young person who died.
