We were warned about a winter storm dumping up to a couple of inches of snow in Lake Charles, Westlake, Moss Bluff, Sulphur and across Southwest Louisiana. Everyone got excited. Kids were out of school. Shopper's cleared the shelves at local grocery stores. Everybody got the day off. We waited and waited .... and waited. I don't know about you but I did not see one single snow flake. Leon was not the event we expected (not that there is anything wrong with that.) It was a different story just to the east.

I searched for you tube videos of the ice in Southwest Louisiana and could not find any. You know if there was any serious accumulation some crazy Cajun would have gotten it on video. It seemed that Lafayette and Baton Rouge got what they expected from Winter Storm Leon. So did the sleepy little hamlet of Bunkie, Louisiana. Someone there did get it on video. We thought we would share.
