Paul Marx The Founder And Owner Of KBON Radio Has Died

Paul Marx who founded and was the owner of Louisiana Proud KBON 101.1 radio has died.

Marx founded KBON in 1997 and the station is located in Eunice, Louisiana.  The station is locally owned which is rare in today's radio world.

The radio station's format is geared toward the music & culture of Louisiana music and 85% of the music is local.

I worked with Paul back in 1996-1997 at then Cajun Country 92.9 in Jennings Louisiana before he left to start KBON.

Paul Marx, though a competitor, had the same common goal as me which was promoting our local artists and the great Cajun, Swamp Pop and Zydeco music.  He was proud of the culture, heritage and music from South Louisiana.

A true pioneer and advocate for the Cajun Culture, Paul Marx will be missed for his passion for the music and Louisiana.
