Watch as New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell addressed a Mardi Gras crowd prior to the Zulu parade while sitting on a horse.
Mayor Cantrell thanked all of the police and medical personnel in New Orleans for their hard work and dedication during carnival season.
Mayor Cantrell is not the first mayor to ride a horse through downtown New Orleans for Mardi Gras, but she sure seemed confident on the horse while addressing the crowd.
She also took part in the closing ceremony down Bourbon Street when police parade through to end the week's longs extravaganza.
