Mom Takes Phone Away, So Teen Tweets With Smart Fridge
Teenagers are resourceful...and devious. When my daughter was 13, I confiscated her phone for reasons I now don't remember. This was in the day of landlines. I walked past her room, and heard her talking to someone. She was alone, so investigated. She was using her answering machine to communicate with her friends. They left messages, and she recorded replies.
The Guardian reports a similar, modern day story. A 15 year old, named Dorothy caused a kitchen fire. Her mother confiscated her phone, so Dorothy used a Nintendo device. Mom took that away, so Dorothy used a Wii. That was subsequently taken away as well. While her mother was at work, Dorothy @thankunext327 gave the smart fridge a shot. It worked. Where there's a will, there's a way.
