Sarah Hudek Becomes Louisiana’s First Female Colligate Baseball Player
Bossier City Community College has signed a new left handed pitcher and it's the first time in Louisiana history that a female has signed to play college baseball.
Her name is Sarah Hudek. She throws in the upper 70s and 80 mile per hour range and throws a lot of strikes! According to WWL in 12 innings at the Under World Wood Bat Championships she tossed 12 innings and posted 14 strike outs and only two walks (while facing some of the country's best male players.) Her father pitched for six seasons with the Astros.Coach Aaron Vorachek said it was not about signing a girl but about getting a great pitcher. No word on when she will pitch her first game.
