
Five Louisiana Leaders Charged in Massive Immigration Fraud Scheme Get Their Court Date
(KHLA - Lake Charles, Louisiana) - A federal judge has set a trial date for the Southwest Louisiana men arrested for immigration fraud earlier this year.
We reported back in July of this year, that several Louisiana law enforcement officials and businessmen were arrested in multiple raids across the state.

After a year-long investigation called "Operation Take Back America", federal agents made several arrests across the state this past July.
The Oakdale Police Chief and Marshall were indicted by federal prosecutors for exploiting the U.S. immigration system for personal profit.
The former Glenmora Police Chief, the Forest Hill Police Chief, and an Oakdale businessman and Subway restaurant owner were also charged.
The five defendants were charged with 62 counts of immigration fraud, visa fraud, mail fraud, bribery, and money laundering in the 21-page federal indictment.

The federal trial date has been set for March 30, 2026. Court documents filed last month seem to indicate that the trial will last about 10 days. A pre-trial video teleconference is scheduled for March 18 at 10:00am.
