Tropical Storm Karen has wobbled more to the west forcing some Louisiana coastal evacuations. The mandatory evacuations were ordered in two Southeast Louisiana Parishes.

Mandatory evacuations of Grande Isle (in Jefferson Parish) were ordered at 11 a.m.  This includes all recreational vehicles also. The island is expecting to start feeling effects from Tropical Storm Karen by this evening. The only highway with island access is prone to flooding.

The east bank in Plaquemines Parish is also being evacuated. This evacuation starts today at six p.m.. It also includes portions of the west bank outside of levee protection.
