We've been keeping an eye on this storm system since it first formed and while there have been no real major changes in the system, if you're traveling East this weekend, you'll want to keep a close eye on the weather.

The latest information as of today, Friday the 4th:

TS Karen has been wobbling a bit and that wobble will cause the system to track a bit further West than it has been. Because of this, Tropical Storm warnings have been shifted as far West as Morgan City.

Unless there are major changes in the storm's tracking, which is not likely, the system will not have much effect on Southwest Louisiana.

The system has weakened a bit as well. Karen was expected to strengthen to a Category 1 hurricane before making landfall, but due to some Westerly wind shear, it's doubtful that Karen will strengthen to hurricane status.

Of course, we'll keep you posted should anything change in our weekend weather picture. Just check back here and, of course, tune to 92.9 The Lake for updates.
