Joseph Lewis Jones, 52, of Lake Charles is in a world of trouble after not notifying authorities of his change of address. It seems that Jones moved back in September and failed to register his new address with authorities. Sex offenders are required to update their addresses within three days of moving.

That's plenty of trouble right there but, it seems that Jones is in even more trouble because he is also a suspect in a burglary dating back to August of this year in the 1800 block of Kirkman. Authorities say that Jones has been connected to that crime through blood evidence found in a vehicle.

Now Jones is facing charges of failure to register as a sex offender as well as burglary and theft. Judge David Ritchie set Jone's bond at $105,000.

Back in 1996, Jones was convicted of indecency with a child and is required to register as a sex offender until 2021.
