Here's a chance for you to help a student express their love for music. CSE Federal Credit Union is urging you to"Dust off and Donate" a musical instrument. These instruments will be distributed by an organization known as MusicMakers2U. That organization will gather, repair and clean the instruments and see that they are distributed to students around the area who can afford to go out and buy a musical instrument. Instruments in just about any condition will be accepted at these location:

4321 Nelson Road in Lake Charles

2154 Swisco Road in Sulphur, and 1170 Sam Houston Jones Parkway in Moss Bluff.

I  know it's a terrible cliche, but once you've given someone a gift of music, you've given them a gift that will enhance the rest of their lives. Since 2013,MusicMakers2U has donated over 300 musical instruments or more to students in Southwest Louisiana,

The organization behind this drive, MusicMakers2U, Inc. is an organization devoted to providing area middle, high school and McNeese State Music Majors with access to musical instruments. The 501-(c)-3 non-profit group collects used musical instruments, has them refurbished and cleaned, and with the help of school band directors and music teachers, pairs them with deserving students to help them realize their dreams.

For more information, please visit the MusicMakers2U Facebook page or www.musicmakers2u.org or call 337-244-9314. Don’t have a musical instrument?
