LCPD : Interstate And Bridge Closures

Per the Lake Charles Police Department, and DOTD, many bridges, overpasses, roadways and interstates are iced over. Motorists are being strongly urged to stay home, and off the road, because of the deteriorating conditions. As of 5:38 p.m. today the I-210 Bridge has been shut down completely until tomorrow, or further notice.

As of 6:19 p.m. all westbound lanes getting onto I-10 Bridge from Lake Charles, have also been closed to traffic. Several sections of interstate I-10, I-12, I-49, I-110, I-210 and I-220 are also closed. Do not try and drive across overpasses, and/bridges at this time. Most, if not all in the area, are completely covered with black ice.
