I believe it was the late comedian George Gobel who once famously said, "Vote early and often." Now that I have that out of my system, it really is the last day to register to vote in many states across the country, including Louisiana.

It's an easy, painless process. Much less painful than voting for either one of the clods running for president. Still, if you don't vote, you lose your right to kvetch about the outcome. I love complaining about politicians, so I always vote.

With the choices we have this year, I was in a quandary of sorts as to how to vote. I can't say I care for either candidate, and let's not even talk about their running mates. Can you say, "white bread?" At any rate, my job finally helped me decide which way to vote.

I mean, after all, it's part of my job to make fun of these people. Yeah, I actually get paid to do that. It's a wonderful way to make a living and I recommend it highly. I get to have a great time making fun of everything and everyone.

I've decided to go over the policies of each candidate, then make my selection. Whichever one is the furthest removed from reality (and that's a toss up right now) has my vote. I like to set politics aside and vote for the person I can make fun of the most on the air. Yeah, I like to vote for the easiest target.

I'll keep my candidate a secret for now, but if you want to vote in this election, today is the day to get registered. If you have any questions, just follow this link.
