Lake Charles Spring Art Walk and Art Battle This Friday

It's a special time for Lake Area art lovers as the streets and shops of the Charleston district in Downtown Lake Charles transform to pop up art galleries and display works from local artist.

Put on some comfortable shoes and be downtown Lake Charles starting at five this Friday afternoon. Many of the shops and stores in the area will display works from local artist and offer refreshments. It's the 2014 Spring Art Walk. You'll enjoy a casual stroll and some unique local art plus entertainment and the Art Battle. In the Art Battle teams of artist will have one hour to create a mural. They will be using various methods and it's always fun to watch. There will even be a student competition this year. The crowd will vote with tips and the winner's art will be featured at the Central School.
