Lake Charles Man Arrested for Aggravated Rape of Developmentally Delayed Girl
Lake Charles resident, Christopher James Soileau was arrested and booked for the alleged aggravated rape of a 19 year old developmentally delayed girl. The story behind the arrest goes back to last Summer.

On July 29, the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office was contacted in reference to Christopher James Soileau, 27, 1125 Bilbo Street #2, Lake Charles, having inappropriate sexual contact with a 19 year old developmentally delayed girl. During the investigation it was learned that Soileau asked the victim to have sexual intercourse with him in a laundry room of an unoccupied apartment in the apartment complex where they both lived. It was also learned that Soileau said he would no longer allow the victim to play with his 6 year old son if she did not have sex with him. When Soileau was questioned by detectives he admitted to having inappropriate sexual contact with the victim.
Last Friday, Judge Michael Canaday signed a warrant for Soileau ’s arrest. Soileau was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with aggravated rape. His bond is set at $400,000.
