Recalling Mac and Cheese?  What are we supposed to live on? It's a staple diet of college kids all over the country. Kids who are picky eaters will eat Kraft Mac and Cheese. It's one of the major food groups, for heaven's sake.

Here's the scoop on the recall:

It seems that Kraft Foods is recalling over 6 million boxes of the stuff after customers reported finding small bits of metal inside. So far, only eight customers have complained about metal in their Mac and Cheese and luckily, there have been no injuries reported.

The batch in question was shipped nationwide here in the U.S. plus was sent to a few South American and Caribbean areas as well.

According to Bloomberg:

“Consumers who purchased this product should not eat it,” Kraft said. “They should return it to the store where purchased for an exchange or full refund.”

You might want to check your pantry to see if you have a box of "Metal Flake Mac and Cheese." The recall is only for the 7.25 - ounce boxes of the original flavor Mac and Cheese. The expiration date will be between Sept. 18 and Oct. 11.You will also find the code "C2" on the recalled boxes as well.

Cheer up kids! There's always Ramen Noodles.
