It is really sad. Our kids have gotten so used to processed food that now they don't like or want the real thing.

In Fairfax, Virginia the advocacy group Real Food for Kids (RFFK) has been working very hard to get processed foods out of school lunch rooms. It actually worked and kids there were fed hamburgers made from 100% beef. They did not like them. The kids complained that the burgers didn't "look or taste right."

According to msnNOW  this fall, Fairfax County Public Schools has resumed serving beef patties that contain 26 ingredients — many of them "tongue-twisting additives and preservatives."

So the kids are happy and "meat products" are back in the lunchroom.
